Following on from our trip to the National Science Museum, we decided to further investigate 'friction' and try out some of the experiments we had learned about from the scientist at the Museum.
We tried picking up marbles with chopsticks and investigated whether covering them in flour and sugar or making them wet would make them easier to pick up.
Then we looked at the friction produced by different surfaces on a ramp! We concluded that roads should definitely not be made form carpet as too much friction was produced and it would take ages to drive anywhere!!!!!
